1.4 Released!

1.4 was the LARGEST update for Mouse Garden thus far, and with it bring a truck load of new content. Happy farming!

Major Additions and Changes

  • Added the Kitchen! The Kitchen is a new menu where the player can cook their crops, and sell them at higher prices! Due to the lack of a cookbook (which will be added next update), here are the recipes that are currently in the game
    • Bread; Begin by turning the furnace on, and pouring water into the pot. Then, throw the pot into the furnace to boil the water. Spawn in 3 wheat bundles and mash them using the pilon into the bowl. Lastly, pour the flour in the bowl into the boiling water to fill the pot with yeast, and then put the yeast into the furnace to make bread. Right click the bread to put it into your inventory
    • Banana Bread; Follow the Bread recipe until you have yeast. Mash 2 bananas in the bowl to create banana mush. Then pour this mush into the yeast pot to make the yeast banana-flavored. Throw this newly flavored yeast into the furnace to create banana bread
    • Orange Juice; Blend 1 orange and put it in a cup (Press F on a stack of cups to get a cup)
    • Fruit Shake; Blend any other crop and put it in a cup
    • Berrylicious Shake; Blend 1 raspberry and 1 blueberry to make a berrylicious shake and put it in a cup
  • Added 6 new crops!
    • Added Sugar Cane! Sugar Cane is an alternative to Turnips, selling at $6 per
    • Added Blueberries, Raspberries, and Blackberries, which are all alternatives of each other. All of these "starter berries" come before apples, introducing the player to the world of fruits. All of them sell for $1, and each bush gives only one berry
    • Added Cranberries! Cranberries are the bridge between the starter berries and apples. Despite still selling for $1, cranberry bushes can give up to two berries
    • Added Bananas! Bananas are an alternative to Coconuts, its tropical counterpart. Both sell for $2, but their trees can drop up to 7 fruits, making up to $14
  • Added 3 new achievements!
    • Customer Captain; Serve 50 visitors
    • Service Sensation; Obtain $10,000 in visitor rewards
    • Grim Gastronomy; Create the Berrylicious Shake (The Berrylicious Shake is a reference to the daunting Grimace Shake in real life)
  • Added a Sun and Moon that spins in the background!
  • A third song has been added in the loop called "Mayflower"! Enjoy!
  • Removed mobile support entirely
  • The Tools tab now utilizes the empty space in between the buttons, which made it much more compact and sleeker

Minor Additions and Changes

  • Bugs are now twice as rare
  • Eggplants and Carrots now create projectiles when harvested
  • Fruit Sapling Bags and some of the fruit related tools have dropped in price dramatically
  • The Heavy Duty Spade now costs $10,000
  • The Heavy Duty Spade can now remove rocks, making it a direct update to both the Shovel and the Pickaxe
  • The achievement "Tight Turnips" has been changed so that it will  require all tiles of land to be turnips instead of just a 5x5 area
  • Mango trees and Wheat Grains have been slightly retextured

Bug Fixes

  • You can no longer drag multiple tools simultaneously (Take that, filthy cheaters!)
  • The sparkles when spawning a tool now correctly align with the spawned tool
  • Fixed the game being obnoxiously loud when at full volume
  • Fixed a weird issue with the land upgrade cost when upgrading the height
  • Rocks no longer change when fertilized

This changelog alone took me about 2 hours to write. I accidently pressed reload twice and forgot to save ;w;

Besides that, there are some things in Mouse Garden that NEED to be added.

Planned Updates

  • The Barn, a third menu, where you practice husbandry
  • XP and a Leveling system
  • Solar Eclipse; not sure what I want this to do yet
  • Weather; just rain for now
  • I've been leaning towards seasons but I don't know. If I do add seasons, they will not have any effect on how crops grow
  • A type of visitor that will give you exotic seeds
    • Kiwi
    • Dragonfruit
    • Mangosteen
    • Rhubarb
  • I have mentioned that I wanted vehicles to go around and automate the farming experience for you. However, my brother gave me the idea to add gnomes to do this instead. I fell in love with the idea instantly.
  • A new type of visitor, that requests food made in the Kitchen
  • New Fruits and Vegetables
    • Peaches; a bridge between Apples and Oranges
    • Plum; an alternative to Peaches
    • Starfruit; an alternative to Mangoes
    • Pears; alternative to Apples
    • Canteloupe; the third alternative to Melons and Pumpkins
    • Rare Crops; which can drop randomly when harvesting certain crops. They are exceptionally rare.
      • Red Cabbage
      • Blood Orange
      • Apricot
      • Tangerine
      • Square Watermelon (I want this one to be CRAZY rare
  • 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5-star dishes for the Kitchen
  • Kitchen Update 2, with knives and sandwiches

Exotic seed bag for Mangosteen

Solar Eclipse sun (Subject to change)
